Bro, all it takes is 1 complaint to SPF, the complainant identifying the location based on the background of the picture, and SPF getting your identity from the CCTV of where you sniped.
Protect yourself. If you kena caught, the "thrill" supporters won't come to bail you out.
I don't actively snipe these days but this reminded me of two things.
Most of my best shots are when I get busted. Sometimes I think they might even take a picture of me with the camera. So I never dare to post my best shots. Even if they don't have my picture, they could remember it was the day I was shopping with my friend, etc someone sniped me. Or maybe they send a text to a friend to complain. It all leaves a record. Doesn't take much to figure out and find you.
Another thing is that when I am doing my most daring snipes on the MRT, I think I often hear the warning "if you see something suspicious, blah blah blah". I used to hear that all the time and not think about it, just assuming it is a general public announcement. Then, I think I figured out that I only heard it when I was sniping. I never heard it when I was doing normal things or taking the MRT with other people. Not every time, obviously, But when I snipe, sometimes I hear it several times in a row.
I am not completely sure but I now believe they played that message because of me haha. I believe that they monitor the MRT cameras in real-time whether with people or software. When I am being bold, I am trying to get the best shot even if it looks a little suspicious. I never do upskirts or anything illegal so they cannot charge me -- unless someone complains that I am bothering them, I think. They can't even be sure I am taking a picture but my body position is weird or something. So they keep playing the message. (Recently I think they changed the laws so that it is illegal to snipe even without upskirts or nudity.)
Maybe I am paranoid but has anyone else noticed this? I used to snipe a lot and go on sniping "missions" for hours. If you snipe only a few times you probably wouldn't notice the pattern.
Rule of thumb -
1) Dont post your snipe straight away trying to show how good your snipe is. If the snipe is too recent, victim sure can remember where it took place

It all starts rolling only when someone makes an official complaint/report and the relevant authorities take action
Take safety precautions, don't be too kay kiang to get the best shot, and snipe safe.
