Batam for beginners
 

I'm writing this FR for those who are purely beginners and perhaps would like to venture into batam but for fear of unknown and single?

I went to batam on alone on Thursday. I've been there many times but all are on official business trip meaning meet up with local business associates then a simple lunch then I'll leave for Singapore. But this time, I've decided to try the ceweks there.

I reached WTC and booked Novotel Hotel through Penguin Ferry Service. Though it's a bit ex at S$65 a night but it was worth it. King size bed, clean, bath tub... a 4 bintang hotel or 4 stars. for another S$24 there's airport transfer which I would recommend to those who truly is first time in batam to take up this service. As for me, I thought I could depend on my business associates to pick me up but guess there was some miscommunication and I was stranded alone in Batam Centre. I go against all advise given in this forum to take the taxi within the centre. I went to the taxi counter and stated my destination Novotel Hotel. And they quoted me rp35K. So I went with it. Here's a little tip. For those who intend to pick up girls from KTV etc, Hotel Harmoni is a better choice as most of the KTV are within walking distant of Hotel Harmoni but one plus pluc point of Novotel Hotel is.... IT's just OPP PACIFIC DISCO!

The taxi driver drove me to Pertama KTV to look for girls. I didn't fancy any. And another tip here is the mamis speak hockkien of mandarin. We go to the next destination Intan Pertama which is also around the corner and these 2 KTVs are just opp walking distant of Hotel Harmoni. BTW Harmoni cost more than Novotel. I saw a cute girl I fancy, fair with oval face. I paid Rp280k and I took her back to my hotel.

The cab driver told me I can book him for S$10 per hour. Here's his name and number should u need a reliable cab driver. Just quote you're a friend of Pak William Hotel Novotel he'll understand. He promised to treat all my friends well. Nasrizal HP 0812 619 9638. Fr S'pore +62812 619 9638.

In the Hotel Room, as I was able to speak some decent Bahasa Indo, so I though I will be able to click with the girl. And indeed I was, she was laughing and I thought I'll have great service! but it was one of my worst experience. cannot dig. and finally I've to DIY myself to shot my load which she suckle on my nipple.

So I ask how come no BJ? she said at night then can. Ok for that moment I trust her. Then she just went on to watch TV. Later near evening I suggested we go out for dinner but she said she's not dressed appropriately and she's malu. Then all the badminton stunts come out! SMSs!!! Phone call! all MAN!!local MAN! then she said she's hungry want room service, sup buntut! mine I tell you, it's one of the most expensive dish but since I want to sayang her I say ok cost me near Rp50k! just for one dish!.

So I called my friendly taxi driver booked him for an hour. We went to Matahari and I did some shopping and I later treat him to dinner @ Makatay a famous Nasi Padang stall. The other one opp it Puteri Busong also one the most famous Nasi Padang Stall. Remember, what u don't eat they don't charge. They'll practically lay out everything they have on ur table. And also they see u not local, they'll serve u bottled mineral water while local get the kettle ones FOC. Chilli paste or sambal is FREE but if u are not local they charge Rp5K so just take note of this. Sometime they up the price of chicken simply because u're not local. While eating at nasi padang I strongly recommend the curry chicken and kekril (the cartiridge of ox).

Back in hotel, I try for some action but the girl reject me! I was damned pissed off! I asked the girl whether she want to leave she happily say yes. and happily SMSs her sayang for meeting I believe. I even saw her sms "sayang dimana? Bella sakit" meaning "where are u my love, bella is sick" her name is bella.

I had enough. I called up my fav taxi driver and asked him come pick us up now back to the Intan Pertama. I make the girl follow us. She was so happy she thought she's going to meet her boyfriend. All this while I still keep my cool without showing my temper. I bring her back to her KTV but she suggested alighting earlier. Lucky my fav taxi driver knew her trick say cannot. Immediately after alighting I went into the KTV and F the mami upside down. She offers me another girl for another Rp150K. I say no! She say no refund. I say I don't care about refund even though earlier the mami promised I say u can take your money and I'll never come back!

So I went back to hotel room. Just then the light opp the seemingly incomplete building light up and I saw the big word "PACIFIC" so I tot! I must be in luck!. But too bad. I don't have enough Rupiah in my wallet to bonk any girls. I believe I only have about Rp170k left.

So I tot since it was early, I watch Singapore Idol then about 11pm Batam time 10pm I went to the pub below the hotel Tropica I think. I made a few dedication of my fav Indo songs. So my mood was a bit better and happy. Nothing beats sending the stupid girl back to her homebase and kena F by her mami. She said why I bluff her bring her back! I just stare at her and laugh! I was really a 100% gentleman to her and give her everything she wants and demand yet such F**ked up service.

Then about 11pm Batam time, I walked over to Pacific from my hotel! fantastic! no need taxi or ojeks! I can see alot of chicks alighting from cars. Most got Bf. and really a lot of CHINESE chicks as in local chinese. I walked in paying the Rp25k. I thought of just gatecrash like some brothers here who just walk in. "But I thought since I'm alone don't want any trouble. Just buy the ticket and walk in. I seat myself at the last row alone and got myself a beer. It was dark but not so pitch dark. Occassional laser or spot lights around the floor, you'll be able to catch a glimpse of the girls around. Most I believe are FL looking for a quick buck. Very soon, I became their PREY! hahah. One by one starts coming. What I like most was this pair of girls pretty cute and short. One thin and the other a bit more flesh. both dress very well! girls here are much better in dress sense than those in KTVs! KTVs girls in my opinion cannot make it compare to here as most are locals and hold decent job or are student. back to the story. This pair of girls pester me to give them Rp20K for drinks. They were SO cute, they way they pester and press their breast against me.. anyway, I gave them. slowly more chicks were dancing around my table but I act like BLURR. not making any moves. Then this pair come back say want ST for 2! for Rp200K each. I say no not enough wang or duit. Then they lower and lower until about one girl Rp100K but I really give it a miss. Don't want the sperm to flood my brain as this little rupiah I have may save my life! as most credit cards will not be accepted if not over Rp100K of purchase. then they inroduce me 3 more girls. 1 fat and ugly, 1 chinese looking really but local, 1 malay model look. Can roughly make put their looks with the occasional spot lights or laser on their face. There was one f**king old lady though dress sexy and painted her face white but I know is an old lady come and rub me and ask for ST. I asked her to FO! really YUCKS!. Anyway, I being the soft heart and vegetable head bought drinks and cigarette for these 3 ladies. I got their Mobile number and since it was a bit late, so I decided to go back to my room across the road! Another plus point is that when the girls know u are staying in Novotel, they will straight away associate u to rich and posh and furthermose they are more willing to ST with you as it's just across the road!

so back in my room. I msg the girls if they are free they can come visit me. And they did! We chatted and laugh. Then this malay model looking girl though pretty but it's a DUCK! Lucky never ask to bed her. They came to my room eat the nasi padang I initially bought for the cewek, and drink my drinks, eat my tibbits. Anyway nothing hanky panky but pure talking and laughing here and there. Then before they go they asked if they can have taxi fare to go home about Rp10K each. I say I also not enough liao! then I joked can swipe my credit card or not! they quickly say can swipe at their pussy! ahhaha.

Anyway. though no F and have to sleep alone at least I'm wiser now. Next morning, purely business meeting. Went to quick a few shopping centre as my business associate business are all over batam. Saw alot of good looking chinese chicks and fair fair batam girls. Guess if u want those you have to work extra hard! Hope you brothers will learn from my experience.

Tip of all tips = avoid Friday Saturday and Sunday unless u have tarik there already if not everywhere no girls and packed!

HAHA! thanks Bro But I do have one really sore point. NEVER go to Intan Pertama! I hope brothers will black marked this KTV or if u go visit this place, use my story to ask for better service and gurantee. When brothers unite, batam girls divide! ahhahaha and the spoils are all ours to keep!

Good FR bro. But it sounds like u were set up from the start when u step out of batam centre and into the taxi who took u to the cewek booking.
Dont worry. It happens to all of us for first time and your experiences mirror those of all first timers or cewek bonkers in batam.
These ceweks are too street smart and always hustling and hav abangs everywhere. But well done, a notch up in yr experiences and the next time in batam u will be wiser having learnt so much.

What u said is true. So the better bet next time is to go straight to shopping centre to buaya some innocent gals or Pacific Disco. Even if u don't get any, still get to enjoy free flesh! like I got those girls to rubba their breast on me! ahhah FOC. Shall we go together?!

U can't stop ppl from going to visit Indra Permata. There are bound to have samsters in this forum who are supporters/sayangs of the ceweks from the joints. Girls are everywhere in batam, it's just a matter of luck/timing and a little of everything else.

Its really nice to see a newbie to Batam's night life provide a clear and sensible report of his experience even when he got screwed by quite a few people and that's a great attitude in your sharing.

However, some of your advice and comments may end up with some people doing the "wrong thing" and spending more than necessary so I shall make some suggestions here if you will have them. Otherwise, just disregard this posting.


1) S$65 for Novotel is as cheap as you can get so, its not expensive considering what you get (should include breakfast too)

2) Its not necessary to have the transfer service for S$24 - why waste money.

I do not know who recommended not to take the official taxi from the counter there. Its perfectly ok and safe except that they overcharged you by 5k ; it should be 30k and they have been known to try passengers (newbies like you) for 35k. You can tell them you know its 30k max.

3) Novotel's two main advantages are: a) good breakfast if included in your voucher b) directly opposite Pacific for quick ST raids on ceweks there.

4) Intan Permata and Permata Indah are a little further than walking distance from Hotel Harmoni; are you sure you got it right or maybe, you mixed it up with Harmoni apartments which is nearer those places. (I believe you did).

5) Harmoni Hotel should cost less than Novotel if you booking via travel agents as well as the KAHA (travel agent) booking service counter on arrival at Batam Centre. You are comparing Harmoni walk in price (high like all hotels) with Novotel's travel agent price and thats is why you came to this conclusion. If you compare Novotel walk in price with Harmoni, you will find the reverse.

6) Many of the pretty ceweks in the booking joints have their own boyfriends as well as regular customers and some even support their regular boyfriends with money earned from you. That's OK so long as she knows that you have booked her and she is there to serve you provided you are not asking for ridiculous things like anal sex etc. At the first sign of stubborn refusal to provide service, you should have asked her to go back without moving further and even touched her at all.

A good thing to do when you are shopping for your cewek is to ask them outright (call them out to talk to you) if they want to be booked by you and will be good service etc; look at their response and decide if you want them.

A firm return (of the girl) to the Mami / Papi with your solid complain will go a long way to the establishment and other girls that either they play ball or get out of the game!

I once had a cewek come to my room, "lan lan" sit down watch TV as if I did not exist and I patiently did my own thing while inviting her to bathe etc etc for an hour. At the end, I just told her to take 10k, get an ojek and go back home herself. Then, I call Mami and told her I have sent the girl back. Mami apologetically gave me all total refund as I am firm and did not use the lady yet!
Always have the Mami / Papi's telephone number at hand if you do business with them.

7) Your cab driver sounds like nice guy but he is overcharging you at S$10 per hour. It should really be maximum of 30k per hour. For longer use, we have even done 20k per hour and they should not complain if you are using them for shopping for ceweks as they earn a good commission if you take the lady anywhere. There are many decent taxi drivers around and if anyone wants contacts, I have them too - just PM me. Actually, a few are published on my website in my signature.
I am using RP rather than dollars cos its about 5400 RP to one dollar and for the information of newbies, the first money changer at batam centre as you arrive is reasonable after you bargain and get a better rate than she has posted. e.g. she post there 4380, she can give you 5410 to a dollar!

8) If they have too many calls you have the right to tell them to turn off their phones while you are with them. It all depends on the situation. In such a case as yours, I would.

9) In Discos, (whichever one) you will find that you are the hunted more than the hunter. Obviously there will be lots of groupies too and the prettier girls are always more choosy in the early hours of who they want to "buy them". At the witching hour of 2.30 to 3am (Batam time); they get less choosy if they have not been taken and that is where you will find yourself being pounced upon continuously.

Try to go for the nice ones rather than the sexy ones who have more choices of customers and are more difficult to negotiate. There are also many part timers from the factories who need money during the second half of the month. These are always some of the better free-lancers to bonk for me.

There are also some Mamis who operate in the Disco in the later hours esp on Saturday nights when they have girls that have not been "sold" e.g. Mami Anggi from Pacific KTV upstairs of Pacific Disco (her girls are all 400k); Even Mami from Coin club comes there after hours etc etc.


Some of the freelancers operate in their own group of girly gangs too. They have safety in numbers too.

10) Many ladies will come up to you to buy them Estacy (ubat); drinks, cigarettes and also ask for taxi fare if they have spent some time with you and nothing materializes. If there are 3 of them, it can come to a lot. Be firm on who you want to spend money with and politely tell the others sorry NO. If you start buying drinks and ubat freely, you will attract them like flies and you may find them using you and dissapearing too. Its has happened to lots of people.

Best to check them out for "reciprocity" first ; let them get really close with some body touching and groping before you start to open your wallet unless you already know them.

The price to bonk disco ladies should be 100- 150k Short time and 250 to 350k long time. They will ask for all sorts of ridiculous prices and its up to you to negotiate; pretending to be unintested, not enough money etc etc.

Do not bring too much cash with you and lock your wallet and expensive belongings up before you bring a free lance cewek into your room. Much has been written about theft and all sorts of things. Unless you want to be seen as a big spender buying drinks and ubat all round you, a maximum of 300k is more than enough to go to Batam's discos.

Door charge - smile at the doorman, shake his hand as if he is your old friend every time you go - even first time, you will be be given free entrance priviledges - pay once and you pay everytime!

Great review Libra. Btw, how's the crowd difference between weekdays and weekends? was thinkin of going during weekends, though i'm pretty free during the weekdays...

Weekdays like Tuesdays to Thursdays are great in that you have more choices of ladies (still have to go early enough) compared to weekends when all the better ladies (combination of service & looks) are pre-booked by regulars and never in the "show-case" nor available. Unless, you do the same thing once you have your list of ladies in your own collection.

I prefer Friday to Saturday cos you have the feeling of crowd (if you like crowded clubs and discos for the atmosphere) while at the same time not so crowded like Saturdays when your really have lots of competition to find the ceweks etc and also hotels full to brim mostly.

If you golf, weekdays are cheaper too and golf courses are paradise in solitude compared to weekends when many singaporeans go over.

well... for suckers like me, i would usually go batam from the WTC cuz the ship fee and the bus fee is FOC but only if u managed to catch the first ferry of the day at 9am.. after alighting at batam, the bus would transport u to a casino (name i forgotten) and even the food inside is FOC! think the indonesia government wan to encourage more singaporean to go their casino so try all this.. :) however, if u miss the first ship, u have to pay S$25 for to and fro.. to explore other areas, u would then have to take a cab (which u have to pay) to ur desired destination.

The Indonesian government does not permit casinos nor does it get involved in this kind of promotion. The casinos are illegal but, they exist, thrive and make huge profits because of local government officials being corrupt and this includes the police and army if I am not wrong.

As for the ferry being free and the free transfer bus when you arrive, this is mostly if not totally complementary due to the casino providing this to their gamblers.

I believe that they take you to the casino - which one I am not sure - probably to either Waterfront's Holiday Inn or to Nagoya's Goodway Hotel casino. I do not gamble so I have no updated information.

If you end up at Waterfront and you are not a gambler, you are in the wrong place to enjoy Batam's nightlife for sure. Waterfront is at least a 40 minutes drive to Nagoya.

Perhaps you can share with us whether the Casino people give you a free transfer to Nagoya?

At all times of day,
High rollers (people who commit to change a minimum sum in the casino to chips) get free ferry transfers, bus transfers, overnight rooms and more at most casinos (worldwide) including Batam casinos and if you are a high roller, (batam high rollers are defined by quite a low requirement of chips to be exchanged), you will still get priviledges all times of day you travel, They kiss your arse all the way!

I believe you are refering to MAndrain, now know as Good care hotel. Yes, there is a casino in there. THe ticket is free is u are going there. Ususally, you need to provide the name of the person selling casino chips. And there is a bus waiting to take you there. There is more than 1 casino there providing such services. THe other one should be Marina. I believe they are the same group. Usually, u pay for the trip first, then you get the rebate. Details I am not too sure becos I do not take the boat as my company provide the tickets for me!


Hope some other bro who are familiar with the system can provide more info?

I'm really green in my own furray into ceweks staff as most of the time my business associates will arrange for me. As it is in Medan, Jakarta etc. But one thing though my indonesian business associates can't stand me is my ability to venture out all on my own trusting my life to the local cab drivers! hhah/.

As for the cab driver, I didn't want to create a scene whatsover so I saw the so call official stated price list by their cab union is S$10 per hour do I didn't defract from that. But I do pay him only Rp20k the last time I ask him to sent the cewek and me back to the KTV and then me back to hotel.

I'm really not sure about the hotel rates as my business associates will take care for me normally when I go over to Indonesia. This time as it was my own initiative to have a bonk, I didn't want to trouble them. I saw the price list in Penguin Ferry Service, they charge more for Hotel Harmoni so I presume Hotel Harmoni is more expensive than Novotel. Whatever the case, I guess I'll be sticking to Novotel for good as I really like their services. At the same time due to time constrain, I didn't try their INDOOR swimming pool so I heard!

For the casino, I think it's called Goodway Hotel (Ex-Mandarin). Correct me if I am wrong cuz I nearly half year not anywhere near Batam already. But this is a hotel that I quite fancy due to the rooms + breakfast.

For ceweks in joints ( KTV, Hollywood, blah blah etc ), most if not all have sayangs all over the place. Those brudders who know me should know that I had a regular once, and well, she had at least 3-5 customers like myself and a bunch of local boyfriends. She even had suitors who would let her scold and stuffs, I heard it cuz she made me impersonate as her local bf and act tough. rofl.

Actually, I feel it really varies from person to person about how they view the trip to Batam should be, and newbies should really take note of this. First they must understand what they want from the trip. Pure bonking session, companionship, golfing, R & R ( A lot of people says R & R but it turned out to be PBS (pure bonking session) ), group activities or others.

For the first two, it's best that you booked from joints but definitely have to make sure they WANT to follow you, not HAVE to. Golfing/R&R, recommend to go for ST if you are there early and pick up a FL late at night. It's hard to go for a massage with you leaving your cewek in the room during the day, esp you won't know who they would call to your room and stuff. Well, that's of course if you don't have a regular you can trust. Even so, not really advisable. Group activities depend on your group, if everyone is booking for LT, it's usually easier, as the ceweks will have friends to talk to and it's easier to break the ice like that.

Others indicate like going there for disco and stuffs. Those I would definitely recommend FLs or your own regular. This part I would leave to our NVD expert DNAT. ;) hahahahah

One thing, I didn't know that Coin club nowadays also have WLs. Anyone can give advice on that matter ? Interesting...
