I believe its not the way to start your opening by asking whether any bros' family member juz passed away anot. IMHO, its rude!

Maybe you should go to temple or church to ask the priests there whether is it sinful anot instead of SBF.

Ethically speaking, it is not right to enjoy oneself during a period of mourning.
According to some religious sources, one should not even make love with own wife or husband. It is considered very sinful.

I know of a case where a guy make love to his wife during the first few days of bereavement of his mum. He lost his job and fortune soon after. His luck was very bad and was down for the next twenty thirty years. His is still alive today probably because he is a kind person.

Another young guy went travelling overseas during the loss of his grandparent. He was killed in a car accident in the foreight country. This case was reported in the papers.

The above cases may be coincidental. Believe it or not, up to you brother.

However, its about how you actually take it. If you feel its wrong, then don't do it. If you feel that the mourning period its a taboo to even jack off, then don't. If you think its right, then nobody is stopping you to do anything behind closed doors. just a humble opinion.

I feel that whether it is 24 months or 3 years is only arbitrary. It is a time span set by man. The reason behind it is if a person is bereaved, he should not be having fun for a certain period of time as a sign or respect for the dead and also to show his sadness over the loss.

If a person has no feeling for the dead, no matter what close relationship they have, he can heck care and go on to enjoy himself. Whether there is retribution, it is up to individual to believe.

If you are not superstitious, there is nothing to follow.
