This certainly is the case here in Danok.
Betong and Sungei Golok I do not know. This is not the case in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Geylang, Phuket, Khorat, Pattaya, etc.
Care to speculate why? Military situation? Policies towards women of a certain established and coercive religion? Economic reasons? Role of organized crime?
